Fauna sightings
Terrible weather conditions early on & through May, made the season slip by 2-3 weeks, which has effected pretty well everything! A great morning’s walk. We also spotted what was probably tiger sawgill fungus (Lentinus tigrinus) growing on timber lying in the ponds on Cockmarsh.
BUTTERFLIES:- 2 Small Copper, 2 Brown Argus, 3 Common Blue, Small White, 4 Speckled Wood, Red Admiral, Meadow Brown,m, 4-5 Small Heath, Dingy Skipper.
MOTHS:- Cinnabar, Yellow Shell.
DAMSEL/DRAGON FLY:- Banded Demoiselle, Emperor, Broad-bodied Chaser,m.
